Last year I assembled a list of books from memory and listed them alphabetically by title. Since I'll be compiling this year's list concurrently with my reading, I think I will list them in the order completed. Lovely list. I've enjoyed many of these same books in the past. And a few are on my TBR list. I love George MacDonald's Curdie stories and Wind in the Willows, both of which I discovered as an adult.

I almost envy you your 2009 year of reading. SO many of my favorites are on your list: Wendell Berry, Dorothy Sayers, George Macdonald, L.M Montgomery. It would be such a trip to be reading those books for the first time.

That's a great list. I have Nathan Coulter headed my way from Amazon even now. I missed reading any Berry last year, but I intend to remedy that in 2010. :-)
